We’re a couple days late in posting this, but better late than never! Wake up and workout with us in our first ever morning routine vlog in Los Angeles. Highlights include: who does the morning chores in our household, morning meditation, and a chest and ab workout. Plus, a daily smoothie that’s out of this world!

Mornings in LA start EARLY for us. For the first time in our lives, we’ve been waking up between 6 and 6:30AM every day, greeting the sunrise from our beds.

We’re not completely sure what sparked the change in us, but ever since moving back to California, we’ve felt ‘lighter.’ Light enough even to post our first morning routine vlog in Los Angeles within the first 30 days. That’s progress, folks!

A typical morning in the ‘life of Yummertime’ begins with morning chores and morning coffee c/o our favorite De’Longhi Nespresso Lattissima Touch Espresso Maker. Followed by a moment of morning meditation with one of our current reads, including The Fifth Agreement by Don Miguel Ruiz and Don Jose Ruiz and Calm by The School of Life.


Next, we’re on to a brief skincare routine before heading to the gym. Our moisturizer of choice, for an immediate burst of hydration before sweating it out, is belif Aqua Bomb. If you’re new to belif, their Hydration Always With You Set is a great introduction to the brand.

And no matter what we do, we always finish our skincare routine with SPF. The sun’s UV rays still penetrate through windows, even if you’re staying indoors throughout the day. Recently, we’ve been alternating between Supergoop PLAY for working out, and Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen for the rest of our day. Don’t forget to reapply!

The rest of our morning routine vlog features a compressed chest and ab workout, highlighting five ab exercises we like to incorporate a few times a week. Weighted v-ups, weighted Russian twists, flutter kicks, figure eights, and oblique v-ups.

And if you’re wondering what we’re wearing on our ankles, they’re weights! We’ve been obsessed with our Bala Bangles and add them to practically every exercise we do. They add an additional 2-4 lbs of weight — the ultimate toning device, in our opinions. We also LOVE their 2lb Bala Bars and 10lb Bala Power Ring.


Every morning’s a little different, but at least this was a little peak into our world 🙂 🙂 We’ll be posting more vlogs very soon, including ‘Designing our LA Home,’ ‘Our First Day to the Beach,’ and more.
