…in addition to other pivotal lifestyle choices such as pizza for breakfast and going on shopping sprees every day because “we deserve to.” All very important.
BUT, back to quality fabric — albeit, NOT just 100% cotton.
When it comes to our style, we focus on fit and fabric. Our best friend Anna Wintour will cringe when she hears us say, we want our style to be defined as, “OMG, they look so comfy!” because, you know, we’re sure she believes pain is beauty… we’re best friends, so we’re pretty sure she’d think that.
NEVERTHELESS, we’ve spent the past two years alone, searching for quality, well-made basics (especially tees). TWO. YEARS.
Enter: Express’s One Eleven Men’s collection.
We’ve been avid Express customers through the years, specifically preferring their tees over other retailers, and so when Express reached out to us to partner up for the launch of their Summer 2016 One Eleven collection, we figured it was time to share our opinion: we prefer the quality of One Eleven basics (tees and henleys).
Here are our top favs from the collection:
The reason: the fabric.
Were we to provide equivalents in softness to Express’ One Eleven tees + henleys, we’d come up with: kittens, puppies, the Snuggle bear, and freshly cleaned, 600-count Egyptian cotton sheets from the Ritz Carlton. SO SOFT. We rest our case.
For styling purposes with One Eleven tees — like the double-knit raglan tee Brock’s wearing in this post — we opt for a semi-tuck in either the front or the back, paired with light-wash jeans; makes a “basic” a little less basic… basically, you know? For One Eleven henleys — like the color block henley Chris is wearing in this post— no tuck needed 😛
OH, and one more thing: Express jeans 😉
