Regarding waking up, aside from the fact that we’d rather not, we’ve each formed a dependent relationship with a specific product. For Brock, it’s Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate. For Chris, it’s Peter Thomas Roth’s Cucumber Gel Mask.
Which, by the sound of it all, just makes us seem like high-maintenance princesses.
Probably because WE ARE. WOOHOO, that feels great to get off our chests.
Princesses. Princes. Whatever the gendered noun, we take care of our skin and that’s that. Here’s what we won’t wake up without… ever… a.k.a. what we’ll deem as some of the most important products one (meaning us) could EVER own:
For Chris
Product: Peter Thomas Roth’s Cucumber Gel Mask
Used for: Under the eyes, priorate to any eye cream or de-puffer
“My eyes tend to be my biggest insecurity. Curse those bags. Heaven forbid I drink too much wine the night before, they become two bags of wine themselves.
Whether I exfoliate in the morning or not, I always put a layer of the Cucumber Gel Mask right under my eyes, leaving it on for 10-20 minutes (depending on how many times I pressed ‘snooze’). Every morning.
Tbh, the gel mask is a godsend for me. Since it has cucumber extract + chamomile extract (in addition to papaya and pineapple), the two combine forces to soften, soothe and de-puff the skin, a.k.a. they’re all like, ‘BE GONE, WINE BAGS.’”
For Brock
Product: Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate
Used for: The face, prior to moisturizer and SPF.
“In the winter, my skin gets really, really dry. We’re talking Palm Springs in August in the middle of a sand storm during a drought dry.
To combat this, I’ve been testing different oils, but many leave my face feeling a bit greasy. So, finding the balance between shedding face skin or looking like I’m melting has been EXHAUSTING (and Chris never lets me sleep in).
BUT this Reviving Concentrate has me all like Meryl in Death Becomes Her. I just pat a few drops on my face, before applying moisturizer and SPF, and my face looks + feels moisturized, but not greasy. And it smells good ;)”
