There’s an art to postponing the inevitability of dressing your age, so just consider the two of us your resident Dali or Picasso, artfully crafting the skills needed to dress like man-boys, 24/7.
Excessive hyperbole aside, we do have such an aversion to dressing our age, and for no apparent reason other than to declare to the world, we’re, like, so rebellious. Call it ‘punk’ for the 21st century, where instead of looking like you crawled out of a dumpster you instead look like a 20-something man wearing boys clothing. But, it’s with this aversion that we chose THIS, THESE, and THIS, oh and THESE too, to buy from Nordstrom Rack during the opening of the latest (and HUGE) Nordstrom Rack in Emeryville last week.
Which leads us to the thought, maybe we shop too much… or not enough.
Where Chris said to himself, “I want to look like a tween-aged YouTuber who loves to post inspiring captions on my Instagram to all my adoring fans, AND I’ll wear my cap on backwards because that’s what I think a tween-aged YouTuber would do,” Brock was all like, “That’s oddly specific… but, okay. I just don’t want to think about my age AND I just want to look cute.”
To accomplish said ‘tween-aged YouTuber’ aesthetic, we found a pair of Chris’ favorite boots (on sale) in ‘Indigo,’ from Nordstrom Rack. Coupled with a semi-monochromatic pairing of a sweatshirt and chinos to say, “I’m young, I’m hip, and I totally understand trends; neutrals 4 lyfe!”
Meanwhile, we rummaged through the HUGE men’s section at the new Nordstrom Rack in Emeryville and came across what can only be described as the perfect boy-tee for Brock. The PERFECT boy-tee.
Success. Two ways to dress like a man-boy 😛 The biggest thank you to Nordstrom Rack for sponsoring this post.
