We struggle with the notion of layering, because most of the time, we don’t want to. It’s a story we’ll pitch as 50 Shades of We Just Don’t Want To. With the uncertainty of San Francisco weather, there’s a dire need, regardless of our preference. Kind of like needing to brush your teeth every day but not really wanting to because you could be sleeping instead. Exactly like that.

Simple looks. HOWEVER, we 1) paired neutrals (on Brock) and 2) reduced the amount of “oh my gourd, there’s so much going on in that outfit” by tucking in a fitted white tee (on Chris). That’s what we’re telling ourselves to make us feel like our decision to throw on a shirt over a tee and chinos was anything but basic.

Small details. Big impact.

That’s also what we’re telling ourselves. Nevertheless, it’s true. We’re all about the small changes we can make to a look, to completely transform it.
