YUMMERTIME’S GUIDE TO GROOMING, WHATEVER THAT MEANS

January 21, 2015

GROOMING_9brighter

Confession #1: on Tuesday, we went to Safeway solely to buy frosting covered cookies and chewy Chips Ahoy. See here for proof.

Confession #2: we use a lot… a lot, a lot, a lot… a lot of grooming products… And no, we don’t buy grooming products just based on the pretty packaging. Okay, yeah… that’s only half of the reason why we buy them.

No, not half… a quarter of the reason why we buy them.

Okay, whatever. It’s half of the reason why we buy them.

Confession #3: this is a conversation we had a few days ago:

Chris: “Why is everyone obsessed with your hair?”
Brock: “I don’t know. Why?”
Chris: “Well, what about my hair? Why doesn’t anyone mention anything about my hair? It’s always Brock’s hair, blah blah blah.”
Brock: “Because, my hair’s better?”
Chris: “Okay, yeah, I guess you’re right.”
Brock: “Yeah, I am.”

But, enough about our confessions. The truth is, we really do use a lot of products. But, never in excess. THAT’S A LIE. We never use grooming products in excess, except for lip balm. We have hundreds. Thousands. We use lip balm practically every second of our lives. We literally hoard lip balm. How do you know that that flavor is always going to be available? YOU DON’T.

Obsessions with lip balm aside, every single product we use has a distinct purpose — cue Chris’s consistent use of Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Eye-Depuffer every morning.

Chris (early in the morning): “OH GOD. I LOOK LIKE A WITCH.”

Nevertheless, here are some glamour shots of all the products we use with, of course, descriptions under each photo 😛

BUT, if you have questions about how we use our favorite products (how often, for what reason, can I use this here *points to odd place on body* [the answer is probably no, and um, weird], etc.) ask away in the comments below!

(brock) how do you style it, what is your process of which product first.

and btw i’ve used baxter products for about a year now and they’re amazing !

Hey James, Brock here! I don’t typically use all of the products on the same day, but for me it is about finding the right balance. For example, if I want to give clean hair more body, I will use a bit a Brilliantine (to add a bit of grease) and then build volume with dry shampoo or Powder.Puff. Both Quicksand and the Baxter Hard Cream are great as stand alone products, but, again, if you want a bit more volume, finish off with a dry shampoo. Hope this helps 😀 Cheers!

How do you (Chris and Brock) style your hair?

Anyways, Marc Jacobs lip balm is perhaps one of the most amazing lip balm products ever created!
