Don’t worry, we chose a couch PERFECT for eating pizza on.
The time is finally here.
Welcome to our apartment! Take a seat on this plush couch or even this Mongolian lamb fur pouf! Do you need anything? Are you comfortable? Hold on, let us get you a refreshing beverage — maybe a Perrier? We have been drinking Perrier a lot 😉 Sit back and relax. Our home is your home.
The 411: in a move that’ll go down as one of our favorite moments of 2017, we collaborated with West Elm’s Design Crew to completely redesign our apartment, focusing on our living room, office, and dining room. We even painted a wall
pink and chose a chair that looks like Pac-Man 🙂
*gasp*
*GASP*
*cough, we gasped too much*
The process took a few months (mostly because we were traveling SO MUCH) and started with three mood boards created by West Elm Bay Street’s Design Crew, inspired by our life, our Instagram and blog, and an initial hour-long conversation that spelled out our needs for a dream apartment (like a couch we could be comfortable sitting on for 10+ hours — #priorities).
Here! Take a look, we’re YouTube stars now:
Produced by West Elm, shot by NORTH + NOMAD.
For our living room: we knew we wanted a gallery wall, a glass coffee table (very chic, very trendy), and a plush couch that could comfortably fit two 26-year old man-boys, all mixed into a Palm-Springs-meets-Yummertime vibe. And for a more structural touch, we also knew we wanted to incorporate West Elm’s Bower chair (‘Pac-Man’) in some way.
From there, the Bay Street Design Crew had at it, mixing together a green topographical rug, enormous vases filled with dried palm fronds and a cement (yes, CEMENT) pendant light.
Here’s everything we chose for the living room:
For our office: we needed an easily convertible set-up, converting the space from an office into a studio or a guest bedroom at a moment’s notice. And aside from knowing we wanted a pink wall (because, duh), we largely left dreaming up the space to West Elm’s Design Crew — we didn’t have time, we had a pizza pool party to get to 🙂
We went with a glass ‘workmen’s desk, a few Mongolian lamb fur poufs, a mirror on the floor, and an art deco-inspired rug. Here’s everything we chose for the office:
For our dining set: we went for opulence. Gold, rose gold, and pink accents. We selected pink and blue abstract brushstroke salad plates, metallic gold chargers, and rose gold flatware.
Here’s everything we chose for our dining room:
What do you think? We need to know!
