THE PERFECT PARTY COCKTAIL FEATURING THE MOSCOW MULE

OUR YUMMERTIME PERFECT PARTY COCKTAIL

How to make a Moscow Mule

Made by Yummertime, in partnership with Smirnoff.

Otherwise subtitled: WE LOVE Moscow Mules.

We have a dream of hosting a party bigger than Coachella (where pizza will be served to everyone for FREE, of course), but until then, we’ve been working on our ‘entertainment’ skills, getting our friends together for mini-Yummertime parties — mini, only in the way that we’re not millionaires yet and can’t give our guests party bags worth thousands of dollars.

ONE DAY.

Still, we threw a party last week for around fifteen of our closest friends in San Francisco to celebrate the fact that we just moved into a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment and NEVER HAVE TO FIGHT OVER who gets to use the bathroom first ever again! We are living.

What we served: Smirnoff Moscow Mules.

No frills, the cocktail’s as simple as it gets — three ingredients: Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka, premium ginger beer and lime, served over ice in a copper mug 🙂

How to make the cocktail:

1.5 oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka
0.5 oz lime juice
4 oz premium ginger beer
1 lime wedge for garnish

Pour vodka and lime juice into the mug; add ice cubes and ginger beer. Stir to combine. Then enjoy responsibly 😉

We set up a Smirnoff Moscow Mule station right in front of our couch and let our guests have fun making their own — which was NECESSARY. We weren’t about to be bartenders for everyone when we just spent a full 48 hours breaking our backs while moving couches and mattresses and beds and furniture all by ourselves. BY OURSELVES. WHY DID WE DO THAT?!

It was such a good party 🙂

P.S. FUN FACT, if you didn’t know already: the Original Moscow Mule was created in 1941 in Los Angeles by John G. Martin of Heublein (now The Smirnoff Co.). Who knew?! Well, we did. Because we just told you.
