Three words: frito pie benedict. Meaning, we ate poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and chili over a bed of frito chips.
We don’t intend to review Sawyer & Co. (during our quick trip to Austin, Texas, for SXSW) as if to say, “OMG, YOU HAVE TO GO TO SAWYER & CO., it’s like, TOTALLY trendy right now,” complete with an artsy Instagram photo. Rather, we’re merely here to say, we had frito pie for breakfast.
Frito pie. For breakfast. More officially known as the “Trailer Park Benedict” on the brunch menu.
Mind you, our stomachs hated us for the one hour afterwards. BUT, that doesn’t matter. We love chips, of any kind, at any time. We’re looking into creating our own bumper sticker to stick on ever Uber we take, that reads, WE LOVE CHIPS.
The atmosphere at Sawyer & Co. in Austin, Texas, reads as the coolest diner we’ve ever been to, complete with pastel blue, plastic booths and pale yellow lounge chairs outside. But, again, we’re not here to review the restaurant. Simply here to say.
Frito pie benedict. That is all.
