Oprah once said, “The world looks different from the ground,” and so we were all like, “Okay, Oprah. CHALLENGE. ACCEPTED,” and laid ourselves down on the steps to Grace Cathedral in Nob Hill. Wherein, the tourists just LOVED us. The whole situation was akin to the placards and signs you find in the ‘HOME’ section of Target, “Dare to be different” or better yet, “LOOK to the sky and DREAM BIG,” and we’re all like, “We can do WAY better than that… just lay yourself down on the ground where you’re certain a homeless person peed and stare into the sky until the sunspots make you pass out.”
Beautiful.
And all the while, we laid down in new clothes, having spent our entire Saturday claiming we were just “going through something” and needed to experience the positive, clinical effects of retail therapy, a.k.a. we spent hours upon hours in Bloomingdale’s for their huge Endless Summer Sale, a.k.a. we we were all like, “YOU TAKE THIS AISLE. I’LL TAKE THAT AISLE. NOW GO!”
We shop way too much.
Lyfe is just way more interesting when lying on the ground in new clothes.

One response to “LOOKING UP, LITERALLY… WE’RE ON THE GROUND”
There are worse problems than shopping too much!
