YUMMERTIME SUMMERTIME

Today’s the Summer Solstice 🙂 And just like that, it’s also been one year since we launched Yummertime, a.k.a. one year since we hit ‘Publish’ on our first Yummertime post ever and had absolutely no idea, no idea whatsoever what we were getting ourselves into, a.k.a. tons of photos in front of bright walls, an obsession with Glossier, and more adventures than we’d ever hoped for.

It’s been the best year of our lives.

SO. FAR.

The best year of our lives so far. Never limit your happiness. Which makes us sound like a fortune cookie. Lucky numbers for today are 7777777.

To start, we met in the summer, with curly hair and a faux hawk — an awful, awful faux hawk — and immediately moved in together thereafter. Who knows why? But, we did. We trekked through Europe, visited Disneyland for the first time together, took a train for twelve hours down from Berkeley to Los Angeles, then moved to San Francisco, and started a ‘life and style’ blog. All of which took place in the following summers.

And so, to revise and then quote the very, very wise Calvin Harris, “When [we] met [each other] in the summer. Summer. Hey. Love. Summer;” it’s accurate to say — for us — it all started in the summer.

We launched Yummertime last year on the Summer Solstice for a reason: to evoke every bit of our life and lifestyle, at least to us. It’s the start of Summer, and the start of Yummertime 😀

More importantly, though, we just wanted to say ‘thank you.’ Thank you to everyone and anyone who’s watched us grow over the past year. There’s so much more to come 🙂
