Rockin’ rocker Brock rocked on a rocky rock.
Say that five times fast while eating a slice of pizza and spinning around on one leg. SO HARD >.<
No? You think that that’s a horrible idea? Yeah, no, we totally didn’t just do that by ourselves in our kitchen.
We do have to clarify, though, Brock is a rocker; he once grabbed Brandon Flowers’ hands (from the band The Killers), lifted them up in the air, and screamed into his face, ‘I AM BATTLE BORN.’ Battle Born = the name of The Killers’ last album… So, like, only a rocker would do that.
But… CHANGING TOPICS. Just this past weekend, we took a trip out of the city to spend a few days down in Pacific Grove with one of our best friends. Just the three of us, a perfect beach house, and a good karaoke dance session to Madonna’s Immaculate Collection at 3am.
The entire weekend was spent in shorts and sweats, unbuttoned oxfords and polos, Birkenstocks and Tevas. We call it ‘preppy-hippie‘ chic. Like a blend of Abercrombie circa 2000 and the underwear and sweats aisle of Target. It was magical.
All of that AND our most recent discovery: these slip-on sneakers and boat shoes from the latest Sperry x Gray Malin collaboration. Refinery 29 also wrote a pretty great article about the collab HERE.
But, paired off with an oxford shirt and a polo, we look a lot more preppy than hippie… So, um, this is awkward… you’re just going to have to believe us. Preppy-hippies 4 lyfe.
ALSO. YEAH. HURRAY. OKAY COOL. For anyone who’s a photographer or into photography, we used our nifty pancake lens for the entirety of this post 🙂
