In preparation for Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week AW ’15 tomorrow, we decided to make Americanos (originally called a Milano-Torino) to pay homage to such a beautiful city.

Scratch that. Nope. Nope. Nope. Who are we kidding.

We were at home, all alone, just the two of us, watching Roman Holiday (we saw it on Gossip Girl…), making Americanos because we just want to be fancy.

Yes, we can be fancy too! Don’t judge. #nojudgmentzone because we were #bornthisway. You know… THAT DOESN’T EVEN MAKE SENSE. Sometimes we’re too liberal with our use of hashtags…

Back to the post.

Despite the fact that we frequent a very grungy dive bar in the Mission for a $5 ‘beer and shot’ special (a can of PBR and a shot of whisky) and then proceed to shoot pool just the two of us… yeah, yeah, we’re laughing at the sight of that too… where’s the pink wall?! Despite that fact… we absolutely love Americanos!

So, here’s your mission for this weekend. Watch a movie that takes place in Italy. Here’s a list. And make an Americano.

Nevermind. Just watch ANYTHING. And make an Americano 🙂

• 1 part Campari
• 1 part sweet vermouth
• 1 part soda

Build in a rocks glass with ice and garnish with an orange slice (we added lemon peel to be extra fancy).
