It’s a great weekend when you don’t have any set plans; although, sometimes we’re both super indecisive on what to do for the day. Which do you prefer: a set schedule or a totally free, unplanned day? Really though, these are serious “life” questions. Totally serious.
Without a care in the world, except for what we were going to have for lunch (very important), we actually explored a place in the city we had never been to — Lafayette Park — and the area that surrounds it. More importantly, we discovered Danielle Steel’s mansion. Yes, Danielle Steel.
Okay, so maybe you’ve seen the mansion before; maybe you haven’t. But, we certainly hadn’t in our few years in the city!
What happened next? We made it a point to take a few shots of us and our summer-casual style for the day, directly contrasted against the elaborate architecture of the mansion, complete with statues, columns, cherubs and an enormous hedge that runs around the perimeter of the estate. We weren’t out of place in any way 😛 It really is an incredible site, regardless of how large that hedge is.
Danielle Steel and her mansion aside, we’re making the end to our summer count. Mini adventures and discoveries, here and there.
Do you have any fun plans for the last month of summer?
Make it count! Yummertime.
